ALL  sketches are original works by me and so are ©  2000-2007 Kim Q. aka Lady Kirin
Just click on the thumbnails to see the larger drawing.  I actually draw on larger paper,
so these sketches have been resized down quite a bit for the webpage.

~*SKETCHES*~
First sketched in pencil on paper, then scanned into computer.
All inking and coloring is done on the computer with a WACOM tablet.
I have done Celtic knotwork for many years, but this is the first time I incorporated it into a figure sketch.
The ship in the background is crappy.  The heart knot work is a tattoo on her left forearm.

Yet another crappy background. :P
Her costume is in the style of the Sera Myuu live action musicals.

  ~*Blue Lynx Studies*~
My Starmoon senshi!! This and self- portrait were drawn as mirror images of each other. :) Yuki was the first one sketched. Based on Blue Lynx doujinshi circle style. My RPG character/alter ego, Sailor Hoth, aka Kirin Yukiko. :) Drawn in a style derived from Blue Lynx doujinshi studies. This was a gift for a fellow Starmoonie in return for her getting my Fushigi Yuugi artbook signed by Yuu Watase herself!! :D Pose taken directly from a Blue Lynx doujinshi cover back before I knew what I was doing. :P A rather idealized self-portrait. :) Okay, so I'm not quite this slender any more, but the hair's about right. lol
These were made using Blue Lynx Sailor Moon doujinshi as references. The right most one, Sailor Wroona, though I used a classic Venus pose from a cover of the doujinshi, finally shows a bit of my own style in the finishings, especially the eyes.  Was also my first attempt at coloring a human figure on the computer. All the others are colored with Prismacolor pencils.
~*VERRRRRY Early RPG Sketches*~
One of my earliest attempts at fanart of my RPG character and her bonded love. The kanji above their heads means romantic love, the kanji down the left are their names, Kami and Yukiko (353282 bytes)
First attempt at drawing my RPG character and her future husband.  I find male muscles, esp. DBZ style,  much easier than female form to draw.  Yuki's hair is verrrry badly done here.  I think I did a much better job on Ben. The kanji above their heads means romantic love, the kanji down the left are their names, Kami and Yukiko
Yes, Yuki's head is *definitely* funky looking. :P Clothes are HARD!! Pose is referenced from the HTDM Couples book, though the body muscles are all mine. :) Ben's hands are very weird and all could be muuuch better shaded, but I still kinda like this one. :) Pose referenced from the HTDM Couples book.
These two were drawn using the couples How-To-Draw Manga book as  reference.  Yuki's face and hair (and clothes, lol)  are still quite wonky. :P  The books can be an ok reference tool.   But these drawings also showed me the limitations of the HTD books as I began realizing that I needed true figure drawing studies, so I'd began working from a book about drawing the human figure.
I used a tiny Trunks sticker to get the general action of this pose, but the original had his usual jacket so the shirt & muscles are all mine. ;)
I used a small sticker of Trunks from DBZ as a reference for this pic of the Coruscant Knight..  However, the sticker has him  in his usual  jacket.  Since I'd been working on some human figure male  muscle studies, I decide to remove the jacket.  So the chest and arms are all MINE!   lol
NONE OF THESE DRAWINGS MAY BE USED OR REDISTRIBUTED BY ANYONE ELSE!!!

DBZ was created by Akira Toriyama
Sailor Moon was created by Naoko Takeuchi.
Blue Lynx doujinshi circle does some of the finest SM dj
Star Wars was created by George Lucas.
Sailors Hoth & Wroona and all these sketches are mine

All of these were first sketched in pencil, then inked, then scanned into the computer for coloring.
I used a very simple cel-type shading for these since that's the standard Neopet style.

I challenged myself to make an actual doll base.
Ended up with the base on the left.
